• Zero tolerance on social media for any type (actual or perceived or anticipated) of abuse, harassment, disrespectful behavior, we reserve the right to ban or block a person or a social media group/business page from any of our social media accounts; this can also occur with the loss of a therapeutic relationship (this list is not exhaustive or all-inclusive for a reason to ban or block a person or a social media group/business page on our social media accounts). No notification or reason, or proof will be provided or produced for the person or the social media group/business page since social media networks are not part of our electronic medical system. We do provide a contact form on our website for general non-urgent enquiries. Instructions and links for our secure messaging system are available on our Access Point Health website contact page.

  • Zero tolerance - on any type of abusive behavior.

  • Zero tolerance of harassment and or bullying and or disrespect.

  • Patients must respect professional boundaries; this person may be denied access to our services if professional boundaries are not respected; this involves due process. Please note: We are a clinic and are intended for episodic care and not in the role of providing primary care as we are not a family practice and are not taking patients on for ongoing care.

  • Loss of therapeutic relationship between the provider and or patient is a reason to terminate services/care; this involves a due process.

  • You may be temporarily denied access to our services if you miss two or more appointments and or failure to cancel two or more appointments within 24 hours of the appointment; there is a no-show fee that applies; any fee that is due must be paid prior to booking another visit.

  • You may be charged 10 dollars if you miss your appointment unless it was missed because your medical issue became urgent or emergent.

  • Future appointments may only be accepted if an account is paid in full prior to the new visit. Payment is expected in full immediately after the visit.

  • All medical questions need to be addressed during a confirmed virtual visit.

  • No prescriptions for cannabis/marijuana or its derivatives (nabilone, THC, CBD...) will be given.

  • No prescriptions will be given for opioids/narcotics/benzodiazepine/controlled substances/substances at risk for abuse such as morphine-like substances (eg. morphine, hydromorphone (Dilaudid), oxycodone (Percocet), lorazepam (Ativan)).

  • Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian for the Secure Virtual Medical Visit unless we are able to determine that this patient is a mature minor.

    • The guardian must be present for confirmation of payment method to ensure it is approved for use (if we are treating a minor under the age of having a credit card).

  • Booking a Secure Virtual Medical Visit does not guarantee that we will write a prescription, etc., unless we feel it is truly medically indicated and that is a prescription we are comfortable prescribing.

  • Full payment for your appointment is due immediately after your Secure Virtual Medical Visit.

  • Previous charges must be paid in full before another appointment booking may be confirmed.

  • We do not see medical emergencies or any urgent medical issues.

  • We pride ourselves on ensuring your information is kept secure and confidential.

  • We will not respond to medical questions or communicate confidential information through our regular contact form on our website; this can occur through our secure messaging system (see the contact page for further details on when someone may be granted access to the secure messaging system).

  • Appropriate dress (wearing a top and bottom, sleepwear is fine, the exception is breastfeeding) is required for the Video Medical Visits.

  • Power outages: If our main office is affected by a power outage, we will have to cancel your Secure Virtual Medical Visit and rebook for another day.

  • You may encounter DATA charges depending on how you are accessing your internet (we recommend high-speed). Please note: that you are responsible for any data charges if they occur.

  • This is a safe and inclusive space. LGBTQ+ clients are welcome.

  • We pride ourselves on providing services in French and English.

  • ACCESS POINT HEALTH is a baby and breastfeeding-friendly space.

    Note: Virtual Care Services provided by a Nurse Practitioner are not currently covered by Medicare or NIHB; the Access Point Health Nurse Practitioner does not have a medicare billing number to allow billings to occur. The nurse practitioner that provides services for Access Point Health is not registered with Medicare in New Brunswick.
